Here are some top bucket list experiences you need to have in Tokyo:
Explore the ancient temple Sensō-ji

Tips: Waf some of the incense smoke over your body as its said to cure any ailments you may have and improve health.
Have your fortune told
Find out your fortune at one of the temples, at Sensō-ji you shake a box and pull out a stick with a Japanese number on then match this up with a drawer and pull out your fortune. If its good you keep it but if its bad tie it to a post, to get rid of your bad luck.
Have Ramen at Tokyo station
Ramen Street is an area in the underground mall of the Tokyo Station railway station’s that has eight restaurants specializing in ramen dishes.
You choose your ramen from a vending machine, get your ticket and hand this to the waiter who will seat you. If you don’t fancy ramen, dipping noodles is also delicious!
Cross the famous Shibuya crossing

Tip: Head to the rooftop at Magnet 109 shopping centre for a free viewpoint of the crossing.
Visit the top floor of the government building for a free view over the city

Tip: For around £5 you can enjoy a drink buffet with teas, coffee and juices, whilst admiring the views.
Eat Katsu curry at CoCo Ichibanya
This chain restaurant can be found in many locations over Tokyo, you choose what spice level and meat you want. Be prepared to queue here as it can get busy.
Enjoy the free viewpoint at the Asakusa culture tourist information centre

Take a photo of Tokyo’s most famous dog
Meet Tokyo’s most famous dog statue, Hachikō. He visited Shibuya’s station everyday to meet his owner professor after work. Even after the professor passed away Hachikō continued to visit the station everyday.
Eat crepes in Harajuku
Harajuku is famous for it’s quirky vintage clothing stores, it’s a pink lovers dream. If you visit Harajuku make sure you get a crepe they have few different crepe stalls serving loads of flavours. The crepes were great but a bit sickly after a while so sharing one might be a better idea than getting your own.

Eat Mount Fuji cake
When you visit Mount Fuji, stop of at the fifth station to sample this cake

The palace gardens are free to enter and there’s a lot to explore so make sure you have comfy shoes on.
Ride on a bullet train
On our trip to Mount Fuji we got to ride on a bullet train on the way back to Tokyo. It was a really fun experience, the trains move so fast!

This store was located inside Magnet 109 by Shibuya crossing, but you’ll most likely see some Hello Kitty gifts in quite a few shops.
